Daniel was a composer and drummer for the Citadel Group, Issa El Saieh, Jazz des Jeunes.

Dufond Mayala was the 2nd born, birthplace Leoganes, Haiti. He became a musician at the age of seventeen. Young Dufond was the first to play a three Conga drum percussion (Tambour) setup to create a modern new sound for Kompa, with the head of the movement Nemour Jn. Baptiste. Dufond was a composer and played African Drums for the Ensemble Webert Sicot, Super Choucoune 70, Le Soleil D’Haiti.

Edouard Mayala was the third son born in Leoganes, Haiti, with the help of his older brothers at the age of fifteen he picked up the drums and upright bass. Edouard Mayala played with the VeLux band.

He started to compose but later decided to pursue a different career and become an artisan. Edouard was highly acclaimed and well known in Port Au Prince elite society for his iron artwork and

Dufond created a nouveau “new” rythm with a three conga “Tambour” setup that was intergrated into Kompa Direct led by Nemour Jn Baptiste who collaborated with other talents like himself and his older brother Daniel that changed Cadence Rampa and Kompa Direct to today’s popular Kompa.
